|Kerrie and Gavin made us so welcome and comfortable in their home it made it really hard for us to leave but it was now time to start our journey south. Thanks guys for looking after us so well and for giving us a fab fun time.
After a late start this morning we reached Lake Tekapo late afternoon. We booked into a motel room overlooking the lake giving us absolutely stunning views with Mount Cook in the distance. Unfortunately the rain came down soon after our arrival and not only bang went our walk but our view too. Lets hope we wake up to clear skies in the morning!
All the scenery we've seen so far has been spectacular - the beauty of the rolling hills and rugged mountain ranges ... awesome ... and its true SHEEP RULE! There are just millions - no billions - of them dotting the countryside. The sheep have even adapted to their environment by having shorter legs on the one side of them so they don't topple over. I'll attach a photo.
