I had to re-new my Visa, so we (Alex, Omar, Gisela and myself) went for a couple of days to La Paz, the capital of Boliva. Apart from the cheap chinease movies, the bus journey was pretty relaxing and interesting. We spent about 6 hours driving along Titicaca Lake and the scenery was fantastic.
La Paz itself is like every other big city - many people, noizy, dirty and really big, however the city's setting is truely unique - the old city center is located in the middle of a small valley, surounded by the suburbs on the mountain sides - amazing!

Ende Mai haben wir (Alex, Omar, Gisela und meine Wenigkeit) ein paar Tage in La Paz verbracht, u.a. um ein neues Visa zu bekommen. Die Reise, wenn man mal von den billigen chinesischen Filmen absieht, war entspannend und beindruckend. Es ging gute 6 Stunden entlang am Titicacasee, dessen Anblick wirklich einem Bilderbuch gleicht.
La Paz selbst ist eine normale Großstadt mit viel Dreck und Lärm, allerdings ist die Lage der Stadt wohl einmalig - das alte Zentrum befindet sich in der Mitte eines kleinen Tals und darum herum wächst die Stadt auf den Berghängen - beindruckend.
