We had a little time on our hands so decided to check out this part of the North Island, famous for its beaches. The first day it rained so time was spent not up to much. The next day however, turned out to be a beauty so we headed to 'Hot Water Beach' to test the thermal pools there. We were lucky that we had caught low tide today so was able to access the area. Ideally one hires a spade and sigs a suitable hole and then sits in it for a nice warm bath. However! due to the ferociousness of the waves no quhc task wa spossible so we made do with burying our feet into the sand and screaming 'ooh, ouch' when it all got a bit too much! We also 'sorted' ourselves somewhat by having a long overdue haircut each! The next day Chris went fishing and I went off on a hike to the lovely Pinnacles for some good views. Chris was, yawn yawn, surprise surprise, champion angler AGAIN against the 7 fisherpeople on the boat, not that it was a competition this time, catching most of the 'fush' for that day. He had so much for himself he kindly handed it out to all.....sadly it was time to leave the lovely Coramandel but we would recommend it to all who venture to NZ.
