Today we say good bye to Laem Phra Nang, East and West Railey, Prha Nang and the whole Krabi Region. It was a nice relaxing few days and we are sorry to be leaving but will be back someday.
Our flight back to Bangkok was a bit bumpy and I was not so good with it. After the initial hyperventilation, I managed to survive the rest of our 40 minute plane ride.
When we arrived in Bangkok, the car and driver from The Sukhothai was waiting for us and greeted us with a hearty "Welcome Home", which we thought was very cute. It was also nice that when we walked through the front door and at the reception desk they greet us with "Welcome Back" and "how was your stay in Krabi?" We once again ensconced ourselves in the room, had some beers and decided what the game plan for our last few days in Bangkok was.
We headed out for a massage and a trip to the Night Market at Patpong. You can buy almost any counterfeit item at Patpong, from Gucci purse to Prada shoes to Burberry anything. I decided that I need to buy some fake watches. After a few too many beers and some street side noodles, I was definitely in the mood to bargain hard for some not so real designer watches. It was all good fun and we finally actually ended up by taking a tuk-tuk ride back to the hotel. We assumed that the driver would stop at the front of The Sukhothai as we had never in our entire trip, seen any type of vehicle in the driveway at The Sukhothai besides BMW's, Mercedes and Taxi Cabs. It was quite fun, at least for us, to have the brightly coloured, somewhat loud tuk-tuk pull up in front of the hotel and pour us out onto the lobby. Good Times.
