Byron Bay takes the prize for our favourite place in NSW by a mile. With gorgeous beaches and funky bars, shops and restaurants we spent the day lazing on the beach and playing in the fairly dangerous sea - Lou did not enjoy getting wipped out by a wave but it obviously amused Paul as an onlooker. We stayed just outside of Byron on the first night in the mountains at the gorgeous Whian Whian forest clearing before heading back down for a Friday night of dabuchery in Byron. During the day we walked up to Cape Byron lighthouse to check out the dolphins swimming below and stand on the most eastern point of Oz. While sunbathing on a more exclusive and easier to swim beach the heavens opened so as such we spoilt ourselves, eating massive breakkies at the fab Twisted sister cafe and checked into a caravan park where we met fellow londoner Mark.

In the evening we ate Tapas at the very fancy Balcony restaurant followed by drinks and different entertainment South Americna dance style at the Beach hotel.
