We have now purchased our own little campervan and we are having a blast cruising around the North Island of New Zealand. We don't have a real plan, we are just following our hearts- and trying to find the warm, sunny areas! We haven't had much luck with the weather though, and we have had some rain almost every day- no wonder why it is so green here!!

Nevertheless, we have made our way to some breathtakingly beautiful places. A highlight has been the remote Coromandel Peninsula. It has spectacular scenery and miles of uncrowded white sand beaches nestled between rocky headlands that are covered in exotic plants.

In the next few days we will be off to the far eastern part of the country, which is rumored to be one of the most beautiful parts. It will be hard to top what we have seen already! The pictures in this entry are from all over the central part of the North Island.
