Ciao Bella... Benvenuto to our trip journal!
It has been a few years since we embarked on a big adventure like this, feeling a little unprepared for it.
We begin our journey in a little Tuscan town called Pioraco. Here, we'll learn to paint like the masters whilst enjoying authentic Italian cuisine (well, Debra will aim to paint like the masters and Karen will be drinking red wine whilst "sitting and being"... in the moment).
Having settled in to the Italian way of life, we make our way to Rome before setting off on the "Boot and Ball" tour! In layman terms, we hop on a big red bus and travel south to the end of the "boot" and then jump over to the "ball" (Sicily).
After bouncing around in Sicily, we then navigate our way to Abu Dhabi.... we're gonna need some Berocca for this leg of the trip.
It should be quite an adventure, perhaps some "lighthouse" moments, as we navigate our way through the picturesque country side, immersing in the Italian culture and cuisine (gelato).
