Crossing the Country

Mark and Linda travel blog
Mark and I [Linda] have received many requests from family and friend to keep in touch, and let them know where we are and what we are doing. Several people wanted to know about our blog, what blog? So by popular request, not that we know what we are doing, here is our trip journal in a blog format. Wish me luck…

Mark and I have both worked since we were teenagers and never have been able to travel far from home because of business commitments. So when Mark retired and closed his business, we started making plans to explore this country from shore to shore and from top to bottom, and then to do it all over again a time or two. Mark had a computer consulting business, mostly doing network systems, repairs and upgrade for businesses and doctors. I retired in June after twenty-two years as a library tech. at the elementary school level. We had a huge estate sale, selling almost everything we owned and traded our sticks and bricks [there is a lovely house for sale] for the wheels under our forty foot motor home. So now we are off on this new adventure to see what we can discover as we cross the country with our camera in tow.

This journal is mainly for our family and friends, and to keep a record of our adventure, but anyone else is more than welcome to tag along as we explore the highways and byways. Please don’t expect any high adventure as these bodies are old and worn, but I guarantee we will have a ton of fun and lots of “new to us” adventures along the way.
