Born to Wanda

In August of 2015 while browsing Craigslist, I came across a picture of a beautiful little Sportsmobile. Low mileage, a very good price and a cool pop top that meant it would fit in the garage. Since Divide was on my way home from Denver (kind of) how could I not stop and take a look? It was love at first sight!

It was clear that this special little RV had to have a name, so I dubbed her "Wanda". Her name comes from a scene in the movie "A Fish Called Wanda" when the hilarious John Cleese (Archie) sees Jamie Lee Curtis (his new love, Wanda) peeking in the window of his house while he is talking to his wife. Archie shouts "Wanda!!" startling the very British and somewhat bitchy Wendy. To cover his butt he tries to BS his way out of it. "I WANDA?!!? I WONDER?!!?" Wendy thinks he's gone mad.

Like Archie I love Wanda/Wonder too, plus I love to Wanda/Wander. So, that's her name. In early October of 2015 Wanda and I did a short but beautiful trip with my friend Suzan (Z) to northern New Mexico and Canyon de Chelly in Arizona. Late October found Wanda and me camping in Santa Fe for six nights while my friend June and I attended Paint Camp. On January 19 Wanda and I will take our first long trip to Arizona and S. California. I can't wait to see what we'll discover!
