|After spending a day chilling we got the bus back towards Puerto Montt, from where we fly via Santiago to Peru tomorrow. We got a tip from Team Moriarty Cole to stay the night at Puerto Varas, a lakeside town a few kilometres from the airport at Puerto Montt rather than stay in Puerto Montt itself. We also got told where to eat. We ate gorgeous salmon ceviche (fish "cooked" in lemon juice, onions, garlic) followed by even better abalones in a four cheeses sauce all washed down with nice Chilean reserve chardonnay. Lovely. One of the best meals we have had on the trip.
