We left somewhat later than we had originally planned, and arriived at Sweetwater Regional campground about 3:00. We are currently all set up with DirecTV and internet and it is a whole bunch cooler here than it in would be in Phoenix right now. It's about 70 degrees here and it would be near 100 degrees in Phoenix if we were there. I love it and Nancy is freezing.

Tomorrow will be our first day in San Diego and I really looking forward to checking out the area. Nancy is quite familiar with the area so I'll be sitting in the passenger seat on the Ranger tomorrow.

Today was a first for me. Nancy drove the Dutch Star for nearly a 100 miles on I 8 and she did great. It took me a while to adjust to sitting in the passenger seat, but once I got used to it I really enjoyed it. It's great to just look around, take pictures, go to the bathroom, etc. I took over again about 80 miles from San Diego and drove us in to the campground. We'll be here thru the 12th of June and will be leaving for the Oceanside area on the morning of the 13th of June. Oceanside is about 40 miles north of San Diego and we'll again be staying at a San Diego county regional park in that area.

This seems like a nice campground, is convenient to things, and not all that expensive. I'll fill you in more after we've been here for a day or two.
