I hid behind the camera

Nuff said.

Even in the fog, these things are everywhere you look

Looks like Hatteras grass.

My favorite beach comber!

We started our day with a tour of the USS Lexington. That's one big boat!!! It has one powerful story, but I always feel some sadness at the lengths man will go to to kill or harm his fellows. Understand that I am grateful for all the effort and sacrifices that have preserved our liberty.

When we left Lexington, Linda shared some Trip Advisor info and we soon found ourselves at Catfish Charlies where you get all the hush puppies you want with your meal and my bride can eat some hush puppies. Add some catfish, shrimp, beans and slaw and you soon have a lunch.

Linda found a salon to fix her bad haircut and I caught up on some James Fenimore Cooper reading. Then it was back to the beach for a bit of walking and beach combing and plans to cook and eat dinner at the beach. The walk was nice and my lady found some shells, but the wind said "cook here and eat some sand". After a brief discussion, we found ourselves back at Charlies. That meant more hush puppies, frog legs, catfish and oysters. No more dining this day!!!
