Brasov train station heading to Bucharest

on the way to Bucharest

I am up around 06:00am a quick check of emails, then out for breakfast before starting my day exploring the town of Brasov. It starts with a trip to the cable car station and a ride to the top of the mountain for a great view of the old part of the town. Back down the mountain and walk to the Black Church one of the largest in Romania very nice but no pictures inside,:( then I am off to the Black Tower (it is actually white lol) could only go to the steps as it is closed for the season, a nice walk through the forest to the white tower guess what it is actually white, lol. Then it is off through the forest to the town and up the next hill to the citadel, an old fortress with 4 stone towers, was very quite there not a lot of people maybe 10 and any given time, had lunch there at the only place open was on top one of the stone towers, a nice bean soup and mixed green salad, yes a beer, lol was very nice and peaceful and a great view of the old city. After lunch a walk back down to the post office to get some stamps then a slow walk back through the old city along the old town walls to my hotel. I pick up my luggage got a taxi to the train station, got my return train ticket to Bucharest, it is a 3 hour train trip to the main station, a short wait for the airport bus to the airport, a hotel shuttle mini bus to hotel. Got checked in and out for a bit of dinner before calling it a day was a lot of walking, and it is a early morning trip to the airport for my flight to Munich.
