Our drive to downtown Hannibal was very direct, jump on US 24 and we are there. We wanted to take the Mississippi River cruise on the stern wheeler, problem is there are no cruises today. It would have been kind of cool on the water today since the wind was blowing very hard. Ended up taking a cruise on the Trolley Tour instead which was nice, the driver knew a lot. Hannibal is not a city that you need to spend more than one day to see everything.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens, Mark Twain, grew up in Hannibal and everything has his name attached to it. His stories of Huck Finn were about his time living in Hannibal and it paid off for him. He

On the trolley tour we were taken to an overlook of the Mississippi River and a statue that honored Mark Twain. Other then everything having his name on it that was about it. We did wander around downtown so Candy could check out the shops but nothing other than prices were kind of high, not many people around. I don’t think this is a big tourist town that people visit, there were several school busses around town with school field trips. That was about it so we returned back to the motorhome for the rest of the day.
