Tim - Bali is a place that should be on everyone list at one point in their life. It is a turist driven economy for the most part but once you escape the resort area of Kuta it is absolutly amazing. The vibrant neon green rice patties that cover the sloping hills will leave you speachless for hours. This place is a photographers dream with its small beach towns and active valcanoes scattered around the island.
We jumped around quite a bit for the first few days staying in Seminyak and than decided to make land fall in Kuta and plan day trips from there. Unfortunatly our hotel had an increadable swiming pool that had a beach volleyball court right in the middle of it. It occured to me than that it had been years since I'd really felt like I was on vacation. After a few days of destoying the Baliness and volleyball J and I took a boat out to Nusa Lambongan which is a neighboring island off of Bali's east coast. After a few close calls on our scooters and learning all about differnet uses for sea weed we were ready to head back to the main island.
We are leaving today to head to singapore and than Thailand.
