The further north we go the hotter it gets! No big shock there I guess, but that's just how it is!
Hervey Bay is the gate to the renowned "Frasier Island", which we are going to just for the day with Helen's family, although the two of us are planning on staying there a lot longer some time in the future... perhaps...
So the area is very lush and vegetated, you can tell we are getting closer to the tropics as things look more like Fiji... There's sugar cane and pineapples around and bananas left, right and centre.
Whilst in Hervey bay we opted for YHA... you can't really go wrong there, although it's no wild party, it's clean and straight forward.
Hervey Bay itself is a collection of towns that reach out on an outcrop on the East Coast and you can literally see Frasier Island from the coast.
Tomorrow is what it's all about though - Frasier Island beckons...
