|I am home from surgery and recovering. I didn't realize how drugged up I was until my family was telling me things that I really didn't remember. All I can say is that I am truly lucky and must have a guardian angel taking care of me. My surgery was pretty involved and really scary. The doctor removed a tumor that had penetrated thru my skull and was dangerously close to my brain. It gives me the chills when I think of what could have happened if we had not gone to the doctor. But, my doctor says that everything went well and that he was able to remove it entirely. He took great care of me and thankfully he did not have to shave my hair! But I do have a nice arrangement of staples in my head. I had Marc total them up yesterday and.....37 was the final count. I was basically cut from ear to ear but luckily the scar is above my hairline and should fade in time. The most important thing is that I am doing better! I still can't believe that that tiny little bump on my forehead ended up being a seriously threatening tumor. I never even had any symptoms. It just goes to show you how serious little things can become. The only great thing about this is that Marc has been spoiling me!!! I may never want to get better!
Thank you everyone for all the beautiful flowers, emails and phone calls. They definitly are brightening up my days and making my house smell yummy.
This will be our last journal entry. We are really enjoying our home and can't wait for everything to get back to normal. We have had such a wonderful time keeping this journal. We still love going back to page 1 and reliving our adventure together. It's amazing how fast time goes by. I still wake up sometimes thinking that I am in another country. Well...please keep in touch everyone and thanks for being a part of our amazing journey.
