We have had a great time with friends this weekend. It's good to catch up on old times and reminisce. Darrell and Larry had a great time sharing old surveyor stories.
Saturday we went to the Bloedel Reserve. It's a 50 acre reserve of natural woodlands and nice landscape gardens. Being the desert people we are we enjoyed the green and lush gardens. That evening we went to a birthday party for one of our hosts friends. We felt very welcome and had a good time. We felt like we had known them all our lives. It was fun to sit around a campfire and tell stories and sing songs from our younger days.
Sunday we took a ride and toured the Kitsap Peninsula which includes the towns of Port Gamble and Poulsbo. Port Gamble is a charming small town. It is used by Sherwin Williams to test paint. All the home are freshly painted and have nice gardens. Poulsbo was a very active tourist town with a Norwegian Accent.
