|Yesterday we traveled through this entire state from north to south. A big river separates it from the state of Washington. Can you name the state and the river? It's nickname is "the Beaver State." Almost half of this state is covered with trees, many of which are the kind you decorate for Christmas. The river has the strongest current of any river in the U.S. and also the deepest lake. Can you find it's biggest city? It is called the City of Roses. Lots of wheat, grapes, apples, pears, berries and hazelnuts are grown in this state.
