Yesterday we drove the West Rim Road at Crater Lake National Park. We both want to drive the partially open East Rim Road.

We head again to Crater Lake. On the East Rim, we get a better view of the Devil’s Backbone. We find the Phantom Ship. It is an outcropping of rock. It tends to blend into the background.

We drive the East Rim Road as far as we are allowed. We meet a couple from Texas. It is a little chilly and we talk of the weather back home. I should have dressed warmer this morning.

Back at the RV Park, we pick up our trailer. We have a two and a half hour drive. Fortunately, Route 97 is a good road. We stop for lunch. We stop at the High Desert Museum.

The museum is nice. We see local animals. We attend a ranger talk. It is a nice break for us before moving on to the Bend Area.

It has been a long day for us. Tomorrow is the 4th of July. We will have things to do here through the weekend.
