Nancy took this shot

After returning from checking out local campgrounds Nancy and I decided to take a hike in the hills above the lake. This turned out to be an outstanding hike. It was a continuous uphill grind for maybe a mile or more for a total round trip hike of in excess of 2 miles. The weather and lighting were excellent and we both really enjoyed this hike. Hope that you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them.

Near the end of the trail we came upon what appeared to be an injury of some sort. Rescue people were making there way back to a group of people who were horseback riding. Two people were sitting under a tree and appeared to be the injured people. No idea of how serious the injuries were and we left to return before it all played out.

This hike is another example of how much more is available if you're willing to get off the beaten path and walk.
