The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

Our final visit in Switzerland and what a finally. Today we visited the Niagara Falls of Europe -Rheinfall or Rhine Falls. Although they may not give Niagara much competition in height (23m), width(150m) or even flow of water (700 cu metres per second in summer) Europe’s largest plain waterfall was just stunning. There was a walking trail around the falls so there was plenty of photo opportunities. The best views were from Schloss Laufen a medieval castle which overlook the falls and had a viewing platform below the castle which got you up close and personal with the falls. As you can imagine is was a popular tourist area but well worth the visit. An excellent end to our summer. Now we will start heading north back to the UK.
