goodbye to Geng & Chai

Not got too much to write really (that i can put on here anyway!) but am having lovely, girly beach holiday - at last! Met 2 English girls, Lauren & Zena on the way here and am sharing a beach bungalow with them on Haad Rin. We spend our days on the beach when it's not raining or when we're not too hungover, sampling all the restaurants and cafes eating a lot, shopping a lot etc etc and the nights at the numerous beach parties or pool parties - it's been pretty drunken to say the least! But great fun and is so nice just to rest and not have to do much at all or do any sightseeing!

The last night here was the famous full moon party, which definitely lived up to it's reputation...thousands of people, lots of loud music and far too many whiskey buckets...really enjoyed it but not sure i would go to another one again - think am getting old!

Only thing vaguely cultural we did here was go to a Thai boxing match. Thought i'd find it a bit too violent for me but it was really good (although sometimes the face punches were a bit too much and i had to look away) We got front row ringside seats which was great for the view - but not good when we kept getting splattered with blood from the boxers! Was great atmosphere though and packed out with Thai people and tourists too - they certainly love the sport here!

So after a week here is definitely time to move on, looking forward to a change and next we're heading to Ko Tao to chill out a bit more, detox, diet and do some diving & snorkelling hopefully. Only 2 weeks left and want to see at least 2 more islands before i go...time running out fast!
