We moved bases from Otterburn to Seahouses on the Northumberland coast. In order to keep to the major roads we headed south on the A696 (now open and a much better road) to Newcastle and then headed north again on the A1. The last past of the journey to Seahouses was on B roads. Let’s say it was interesting!

We arrived safely at the campground. At the reception one of the people said in seeing us “We are not sure you will fit on our pitches”. We had a look. There were no problems what so ever. In fact most of the pitches we could get on as most were long and narrow. We were amused as we set up the number of people stopping, asking questions and taking photographs. At one point there were over ten people looking at us. Think we should put up an information board and a charity box!

After setting up we had a walk to the harbour. The small town was very busy due to it being the weekend.
