Today we headed south again this time into to the Jura mountains. The weather was a bit mixed for our journey but we had been able to close up and tanks dump in the dry. The main part of the journey was straight forward. However, when we got to Lons-Le-Saunier we had to make a choice which road we took to Clairvaux-les-Lacs. One sign said caravans one way and the other said trucks the other way. Due to our size we always take the truck route but we queried why they were making the distinction. We soon found out as we climbed a 13% incline hill out of the town! It was a steep slow climb and we kept our fingers crossed that we would make it. Once at the top the road was fine although a little twisty and a bit narrow through Clairvaux-les-Lacs due to building construction work but we arrived safely at the campground at Bonlieu. The campground was very quiet and we found a nice hardstanding pitch with views over the fields. Due to the low lying mist we didn’t realise till later we had high cliffs behind us.
