It had rained all day the day before so although the weather wasn’t very good we decided we would drive out towards Gstaad.

It was not a memorable drive. We went up to the Jaunpass which had some good views down the valley. Took the road down to Lenk which was not much of a place but found some falls.

We reached the edge of Gstaad but realised entry to the town was being controlled so we turned around and stopped at the nearby village of Saanen. We discovered that the reason we couldn’t get to Gstaad was that the Swiss Open tennis championship was being held there. Also there was also a music festival going on.

Not a good day.
