Our plan was to stay in the Woodstock / Lincoln area for 3 nights but there just isn’t much to do around here if you don’t hike or bike ride. Also if you have a ton of money there are places that will take it. We thought of doings the Cog Railroad but at $70.00 a person to ride up the mountain and back, we will pass it up. There are a couple of amusement parks with roller coasters but who needs them, just drive the roads. We were going to stop in Conway for a couple of days but decided that we would drive over there to see what was there. It is only 35 miles from Woodstock so we took the truck. It was a very nice drive thru the White Mountains and the roads are very good. We got to Conway and decided to have lunch at one of the local restaurants, Bea’s Café, It was alright. Something we have experienced this trip is most of the places only take cash. The restaurant would only take cash and if you needed it, they had an ATM machine for use. A couple of the campground we have been in this time only take cash or check, credit card companies are charging the business to much so they don’t take any card. Make sense. We did stop at the LL Bean outlet and left everything there, did need any of their stuff. There are signs posted to Brake for Moose. It would be very bad to hit a moose, they are big.

Another beautiful day but the colors are not changing yet. The Blade at home said the colors were changing in New England. The good old Blade with bad reporting again.

We decided that we will leave in the morning and head for Bar Harbor Maine. We are set up for a place for Thursday so we will take 2 days or drive thru and get there a day early. We are feeling good so our trip will continue on.
