The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

The weather has been very cold and icy for the UK. The UK is not very good at coping with ice or snow. Everything seems to grind to a holt at times and clearing roads and Pavements(sidewalks) seems to be an uphill battle. Perhaps they need to get some advice from the Canadians.

We spent a reasonably quiet week at Heathers Mum's We did buy one or two more electrical items we need to have in the coach. We also visited a number of nearby campgrounds to ensure we had a suitable base to visit Mum. We found several good ones not far from Mum. They are very landscaped and have a lot of space between each pitch (US-site). All could take our big baby and the roads getting to them were OK as well. Most only provide electricity at each pitch but there was water stands available to fill up our tank and also very strange disposal points to empty our tanks. Only one site had super pitches with full hook-up.

We continued to prepare some additional paperwork for the import of the motorhome which arrives on the 19 Febuary in Southampton. Hope it all goes well.
