We arrived mid day on Tuesday June 1. We drove to Old Town San Diego and took a evening walk about the historic area. This California settlement depicts the Mexcan and early American years of 1821-1872 with historic buildings and adobe homes. The first non mission Catholic church anchors the area and is a beautiful ediface. The Wells Fargo History Museum, the first San Diego courthouse, and the Mason Street school of 1865 represent but a small sampling of the structures. Numerous shops line the area punctuated with gorgeous flowers and shrubs. Mexican folk dancers performed many popular old flamingo dances. We set the mood with our fabulous dinners at The Coyote. Marquerittas and fajitas as well as tacos and salsa and chips-it was atrue Mexican feast!

We staggered home to bed.
