Back to California

California at last

Welcome to California

Chocolate Mountains east of Salton Sea

Coachella Valley and San Jacinto Mounatins come into view

Palm Springs & Banning Pass filled with wind generators

I've got the refreshing pool all to myself

The hummingbirds were waiting for us

Last travel day, end of summer travels. We crossed into California, traveled past the chocolate Mountains to the south (east of Salton Sea), then over Chiriaco Summit to see Coachella Valley come into view. Palm Springs is at the north-west end of Coachella Valley.

We headed up the hill to Silent Valley Club in the San Jacinto Mountians, to stay for about a month before going down into Orange County to attend my 50th High School Reunion - what? How did I get that old? Seems to be a theme lately.

I enjoyed the swimming pool in the mornings doing my water aerobics by myself as Larry walked his 4 miles around the park. The hummingbirds were waiting for us to set up their feeder and quickly surrounded it as usual.
