Work In Progress

We relax in the AM. It is raining. Our plan is to head south to Mitchell, SD. It is a little more than two hours.

Finally on the road, we drive in the rain. The weather gets better the further south we drive. The road is good but we are driving into a head wind. It is work to keep up our speed.

We are glad to arrive in Mitchell. We have never been here before. We need to see the Corn Palace.

We find parking. The palace is just like its pictures. It is ornate. The murals are made from ears of corn. We take some pictures.

We go inside. There are posters telling the history of the corn palace. I admit that I am not very interested.

There are old corn murals inside and a very large gift shop. I am underwhelmed. But, I can say that we saw the only corn palace in the United States.

We arrive at our campground east of Mitchell. As we get out of the RV, John asks if that is my phone vibrating. Very funny. We are next to a field with cattle!
