After our long but enjoyable day at Keukenhof Gardens we had a bit of a late start. On Daisy’s morning walk we spotted a rabbits enjoying the hyacinths field. The day was misty and cloudy so we decided to go in search of windmills. This proved more difficult than planned as every road we went on seemed to have road works and the occasional diversion. Reminds us of Canada! We did in the end find some different windmills. (We discovered later we needed to go even further south to find the UNESCO windmills site!)

In our drive we found ourselves close to Gouda famous for the cheese. It was quite a small town and although had a large Markt with an impressive Stadhaus which was built in 1450 and Cheese market weigh building now a museum the rest of the town was nothing special.

We decided after a quick walk round to head back to base.
