Biking madness in Hanoi

Mandy lost Jon for only a few moments... and look what happened.

At the Temple of Literature

Guarding Uncle Ho

At the water puppet performance- the master puppeteers recieve applause.

Hanoi is a fabulous, yet tiring city. In light of this latter characteristic I will write this entry as though I am really tired. I leave it to you to decide if I am faking this feeeling.

-the streets here are as crowded as Saigon's - but narrower

-when you walk along no two steps are in the same direction - it is a skip, hop, turn, twist down the crowded street

-the people are nice and want to sell you things

-the Temple of Literature was beautiful - every city should have one of these

-Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum is closed on Friday so we don't go that day

-Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum is closed on Monday, too, but we go because we don't know and never see Uncle Ho

-don't ever stay at the Hanoi Capital Hotel. okay.

-the Laos embassy has moved.

-the food is good here

-sometimes its okay to do nothing in a foreign city, especially if there's two PremiereShip Football matches on SkySports

-the water puppet show was worth seeing, even if you don't feel one hundred percent

-Hanoi is a fabulous city.

-But tiring.
