Saying good bye to Grandma

Fresh eel for dinner

We flew into Da lat from Hanoi and were met at the airport by Tan's two uncles. A short drive later we were at grandma's house. After some tearful hugs and kisses we were ushered to the table for lunch. Grandma looks great for her 90 years and she spent the whole meal just looking at each of us, holding our hands and talking to us. Some of the little cousins the kids played with last time have grown alot and by the gesturing, I could tell they were saying the same thing about Laura and Alec. One cousin who is about Alec's age took him fishing and from then on they were fast friends.

The village is small so there's not much to do but Tan enjoyed catching up and talking with his aunts and uncles, cousins and the neighbors. Grandma told us we'd better be back soon!
