Alissa and I caught a train up to Cinque Terre today. We got there in the afternoon to BEAUTIFUL weather. The first stop on the train is Riomaggiore which is where our hostel was so we hopped off. The place is amazingly beautiful. Everyone in the world needs to see Cinqu Terre!

We dropped our stuff off at the hostel and chenged clothes for the hot weather and set off to discover the place. We took the train down to the last town, Monterroso. We found the beach and tested the water. Quite warm still. We also discovered a gelato shop. We had the BEST gelato of the whole trip at this place.

Walked around the town some more before heading to Vernazza. We found the pier and got there in time to catch the sunset. It was so beautiful as it headed to Canada's side of the world. We saw lots of fishermen heading out in their boats. But as the sunset Alissa and I began to freeze in our summer clothes so we headed back to the hostel.

Grabbed some dinner and a shower. I made a few phone calls and then we were in bed early to get ready for our big hike the next morning. We were sharing a room with a Malaysian guy. He was actually really nice and spoke good english. But in the middle of the night he was sleeptalking and was yelling stuff in malaysian. Freaked us out haha.
