To have a change from mountains we decided to visit Tredegar House near Newport. Tredegar House is a 17th Century George II country mansion and originally was owned by the Morgan family, later Lords Tredegar; one of the most powerful and influential families in the area. They also were in later years renowned for their wild parties and elicit affairs. The house itself once stood in 56,000 acres, now only 90 acres remain.
