Me and the Creek!

And at the end of a long day (and night)! - More...

Hey guys,

sorry its been so long since I last wrote, I've spend the last week on a 6 day 'safari' between Alice Springs and Cairns. Had a really good time. I'll not say mach about what we did, quite a lot of walk ing and some amazing scenery. Saw a few ferrel Camels, plenty Kangaroos and Emus among much other wildlife. Our guide managed to run over a Kangaroo in the first couple of hours of the trip - luckily that was the only one!! Had a BBQ on the last night and tried some different meats - Camel sausages, Emus burgers and Kangaroo steak, everybody was quite impressed with the Kangaroo! There was 13 in the group this time, mostly English and a really good crowd.

5 of us had planned to visit Kangaroo Island for a day or 2 but it proved to be too expensive so we resorted to planB - the Barrosa valley wine tour. It was 3 for the price of 2 so we persuided another one of the boys to come along. We also visited a dam known as 'the whispering wall' because sound travels so well along it AND we saw the worlds biggest rocking horse!!!! Apparently voted 'Australia's best BIG thing' last year - what a treat!!!
