We had heard from our co-hosts Bill, Sharon and Joyce that SR 153 over the mountains from Rt 89 to Beaver was very special, so Nancy and I decided to check it out. Very special drive ascending to about 10,200 elevation. We found it to be similar to Cedar Breaks minus the dead Engleman spruce trees. Huge beautiful meadows and lots of great dispersed camping sites. Great views on the ascent from Rt 89, and really throughout the entire drive. We'll likely be returning here to tent camp as well as to see the fall leaves in mid September. One of the top drives that we've experienced in Utah. We love the high country with the fir and spruce trees and the wonderful big meadows.

We stopped at the cheese factory in Beaver and had lunch before heading back. Great day!!
