Lunch

Today we head to Wind Cave National Park. We take Route 385 for twenty-five minutes. This is not the speed we want to be traveling at but it gets us to the park.

There are three tours. The long tour is beyond us. The middle tour we took before. The short tour is too long of a wait.

We watch the video. We will explore Wind Cave National Park from above ground. The park has one of the largest buffalo herds in America. We create our own buffalo safari.

We stop first at the prairie dog town. Of course, we see prairie dogs all day. They are like antelope in Wyoming. You don’t have to look far.

We see antelope and mule deer but most of all we see buffalo!

Each herd that we find is closer to us. The last herd is across the street. The buffalo is a great animal. Besides taking pictures and videos, we spend much time just watching!

We have lunch (dinner) at the Blue Bell Lodge. Buffalo Tenderloin and Buffalo Meatloaf are on the menu!

It is another great day in the Black Hills!
