We were making the best of the weather and so we had a second day of walking in Snowdonia National Park. We parked at Rhyd-Ddu and headed south on an excellent multi-purpose path towards Beddgelert. It was perfect day and at regular points on the trail we got great views of Snowdon and the surrounding mountains.

At Beddgelert we took the Welsh Highland Railway back to Rhyd-Ddu. Again Snowdon was clearly visible. It had a conscious decision by us not to go up Snowdon- the train up did not take dogs, the trek up was a long slog and there was far too many people now visiting Snowdon.

We took a different route back to base through a beautiful valley and again saw another view of Snowdon.
