Today was hot, muggy and cloudy not a day for a strenuous walk. We headed out to the small village of Beddgelert in the Snowdonia National Park. This was a really charming village which sits on the confluence of the Glaslyn and Colwyn rivers and surrounded by hills. There was a lovely walk along the banks of the Glaslyn River which we enjoyed walking despite the heat.

After lunch and with the weather getting a bit iffy we decided to drive up the valley up to Pen y Pass. We passed two lakes and came to a lookout which gave you views of Snowdon (the highest mountain in England and Wales at 1085m).
