Tony had lost a filling but was able to get an appointment with a dentist in the village on Wednesday morning. His tooth was duly dealt with and as he showed his European Health card (reciprocal arrangements between EEC members) there was no charge. We spent the rest of the day enjoying the sunshine.

Thursday morning saw us heading out to Bad Hindelang, where we went up the cable car just outside the village to the Horn at 1,320m. It was another hot day so walking too far in the full sunshine was not a good idea. There was a great round walk at the top which gave views over the valley.

We then decided to take the trail down back to the village. Most of this trail was in the trees but at times we got great alpine scenes. The final part of the walk back to the village was alongside the river where quite a few people were cooling off.
