Travelin' with Sally & Gregg travel blog

Incredible autos here of course, but oh so much more...

Important American history here also - George Washington's camp cot and mess...

The chair in which Abe Lincoln sat when he was assassinated.

Tonight we spend at a motorhome repair place (minor awning repair) along a US highway with a wide shoulder for all the horse and buggys going by. I've seen 7 already in just a few hours. We are in an area of very high concentration of Amish and Mennonite and plan to spend a couple of days here, including Shipshewana where they have a well known flea market on Tuesdays.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Dearborn museums, an incredible collection of American history, including the limo in which JFK was shot, the bus that Rosa Parks rode, refusing to give up her seat to a white man in 1955, actual homes and workshops of the Wright brothers, Thomas Edison and dozens of others important in American history. We highly recommend this.
