on to Taos, NM

A nice big king size bed, a good night of rest (no rain) haha some computer stuff off for some breakfast, loaded up, gas up the car heading off to the New Mexico state line and for my last night on the road in Taos, NM. A stop a the Capulin Volcano National Monument, drove to the parking area at the rim of the crater, then did a 1/2 mile hike to the crater vent, back up to the top and a mile hike around the rim of the crater, nice hike about 75 degrees, nice breeze. Down to the lava flow trial another mile hike though the first lava flow back on the road stopping in Raton for some lunch. On toward Taos, NM a nice drive though the mountains at Eagle Nest and Angel Fire and getting into Taos around 5 in the afternoon. Got checked into my hotel and off for some dinner in the Taos Plaza, back to hotel a soak in the hot tub a few beers and to bed.
