More beach fun in Port Elizabeth

From Knysna we drove east to Plettenberg Bay - super beautiful - then farther east into the Tsitikamma National Forest. It's a really lush forest, like you'd see in Costa Rica or something - vines, baboons, thick, thick green everywhere. We then drove to the appropriately named hamlet of Nature's Valley and walked along the beautiful silky, sandy beach for a couple kilometres to a lagoon. Running in the ocean and watching a whole slew of hermit crabs devour a jelly fish were a major highlight for the kids.

From Nature's Valley we then went to Port Elizabeth for some more beach romping.

We've been listening to the Peter Gabriel song, "Biko", makes being in Port Elizabeth a little sobering.

Next stop - Victoria Falls....
