Crean's and the Guys' adventure travel blog

Todays drive was interesting- more greenhouses growing tomatoes we think, interspersed with orange groves. We were going to stop at Cartegena but instead followed signs to la Manga del Mar- a beach town, well thats an understatement. It is actually an 18km stretch of sadnspit covered in huge blocks of apartments, decidedly worse for wear. Many shops are closed, and it took awhile to find a hotel open, but managed to get a one bedroomed apartment each for E55, overlooking the sea. This place is virtually open only for 3 months during the summer period. Spooky and very like a ghost town, but also managed to find a german restaurant serving a mixture of german and spanish food. Tomorrow Valencia!
