Rain brings beauty

From our camp site

This weekend kicked off the two week Wildflower Festival here at Cedar Breaks National Monument. Today Len and I re-visited the Alpine Pond. We came in from the other end off the Chessman Overlook . It was a beautiful walk thru the forest towards the pond. The wildflowers are in full bloom...Gorgeous! It was a little overcast today, so it made for good photography. By the end of our walk the thunder was booming and big raindrops were threatening, but that was all we got. Sure could have used a little more rain.

P.S. We did get a nice little rainstorm in the late afternoon and a visitor to our window.
