An old Catholic church in Asia?? Only in Macau!

This reminds Marc of Lisbon Portugal, where he visited 10 years ago....

Macau's main historical center is very well preserved.

The Ruins of Sao Paulo (St Paul's) church. This dates back to...

Probably the only place in the world where the two official laguages...

Heading out to an anniversary dinner, at the Casino Lisboa!!

Our hotel!

Looks a lot like Vegas, complete with a sky tower!

It is our one year wedding anniversary, so we decided to celebrate in style! About 50 miles west of Hong Kong lies the former Portuguese colony of Macau. It is an interesting mix of European and Asian cultures, and the only place in the greater China area with legalized gambling!!

We stayed in the Casino Lisboa, the largest and most opulent of Macau's hotels, and enjoyed the good life. This won't be the largest casino for long though, as the owners of the Bellagio and Venetian in Vegas, are already building mega resorts here. While in Macau strolled through the romantic European style streets by day, and enjoyed the night life in the evening. The casino's are a little different than Vegas, as the customer's take gambling very seriously. But the rules of the games are the same, and we even won more than $100! Which happens to be our Only Income for the year!!!
