The meadows around our park have been beaconing to me and I couldn't stand it another day. Today was the end of our 5 day work week and it was a quite late afternoon, so off we went exploring for an hour or so. It was surprising how many flowers were blooming in the meadow that you can't see from a distance. Oh the joys!!!! We are always pleased to find some little treasure when we are wondering. This time it was the natural spring on one end of the meadow and the stream up on the end near the lava rocks. We sat on a down log of Engelmann Spruce, that was taken down by the beetle infestation, and enjoyed the beauty of the meadow all around us. What a wonderful walk.
