Ron & Elena's 2007-2010 Travels travel blog

Lots of bright lights and Christmas cheer in the parade tonight.

The Congress FD float. Actually a "train" of three floats pulled by...

Congress FD float.

When the kids are this young they just seem baffled!

(Ron Writing) We had a nice relaxing day. Elena made banana pancakes for breakfast which was a great way to start the day.

We drove over to Congress and picked up our mail and then spent some time going through that and taking care of items that needed some attention.

This evening we went to Wickenburg to see the 15th annual Christmas Light Parade. There were quite a number of brightly lit floats but the biggest and most beautiful was the entry by the Congress fire department. I think this is the first time we’ve gone to a parade after dark. It was hard to get any good photos with my “point & shoot” camera.

After the parade everyone was treated to hot cider and a cookie by the Chamber of Commerce. Also all the little kids got to visit Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus and they each got some candy.
